Grants from the European Research Council (ERC) are available to support researchers in carrying out frontier research projects. The European Research Council (ERC) is a European funding initiative designed to support Europe's best scientists, engineers and scientists. The ERC Starting Grants project is currently open. It is intended to support researchers at that stage of their careers, in which they create their own team or have an independent research program. Candidates must demonstrate the revolutionary nature of the research, ambition and feasibility of the scientific proposal. Candidates can be of any nationality and must have obtained the first doctorate at least 2 years ago and at most 7 years before January 1, 2021. Host organization: a legally recognized public or private research organization located in an EU Member State or an associated country. Funding: up to EUR 1.5 million per grant.
